In the Gudamba area of Lucknow, a Deputy Manager of a bank died by suicide after shooting himself. He was alone in the room at the time. When his family members entered the room, they found him lying in a pool of blood. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The matter is under investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Qazi Ahmed Zaid (40), who was originally from Gorakhpur. He lived with his family in Adil Nagar, Kalyanpur, in the Gudamba area of Lucknow. He was working as a Deputy Manager at an Axis Bank branch in Aliganj.
On Monday morning, around 9:00 AM, he shot himself with an illegal .32-bore pistol in a room on the first floor of his house.

When he did not come downstairs for a long time, his wife Tayyaba went upstairs to check. She found him covered in blood and screamed in shock. She then informed the police. The police arrived, took the body, and sent it for post-mortem.
Family members said that two days earlier, he had gone to Gonda to attend a relative’s wedding. He returned home on Sunday night. After that, everyone went to their rooms to sleep. In the morning, while his wife was busy with household work downstairs, he took this step.
According to initial information, he may have been under stress due to a financial scam at the bank and increasing debts. However, the exact reason is not yet confirmed.
Gudamba Inspector Prabhtesh Srivastava said that the panchnama (official report) has been completed and the body has been sent for post-mortem. The police are investigating the case from all angles.
